Who am I?

Let me formally introduce myself:

  • My name is Mary Shean

  • I’m 22 years old and a Capricorn

  • Born and raised in Arlington, Virginia

My peers would describe me as a charismatic leader who strives to uplift those around me.

Being inquisitive and determined, I chase after understanding the world’s complexities and cultivating meaningful, diverse relationships.

Some of my hobbies include reading manga, watching international tv, and enjoying the outdoors with friends. Another passion of mine is traveling (if you couldn’t already guess) and this is me at the Louvre Museum in Paris France.

International Professionalism

As a Fashion Merchandising Major, I delve into how culture and retail intersect. My French and Business Minors enable me to make connections among all three domains, which gives me a unique advantage in France’s business sector.

After visiting Paris for the second time in March of 2023, my dream of living in Paris solidified. While visiting I was able to practice my french skills by talking to locals, which helped me understand their perspective more.

I have travelled outside of the United States over 5 times. The country’s I’ve been to include Iceland, Hungary, Austria, and a few more. My hope is so travel all over the world, particularly Asia since I haven’t yet been.

Core Values

  • Your purpose is higher than success. In a world where being good is never enough, knowing you strive for your own greatness is enough.

  • Much of conversation is lost in translation; this lack of effective communication is what roots our conflicts. I believe most of the worlds problems could be solved if we all communicated more thoughtfully and purposefully.

  • It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world.

  • Failure is part of the process, but it can be difficult to recover. The rebound after a mistake is always the hardest. How you navigate those challenges shows your dedication and resiliency.

“Style is something each of us already has, all we need to do is find it.”
