Final Destination: France

France has been the object of my desire since I was ballerina as a child. After traveling to Paris and Reims, France my Junior year of high school, the dream of living there was planted in my mind.

After taking french all through middle and high school, I stopped my academic pursuits of french language when I began University. After 2 years of college and a pandemic later I found myself searching for another subject that I could rely upon. My junior year I became a french minor and I’m so glad that I did because it has offered my a wealth of knowledge that is applicable in the fashion industry and in life.

Last spring I traveled to Paris with the VCU fashion department for an experiential learning trip. We visited the Dior and YSL museum and of course the Louvre. Going to France in a fashion context really solidified the fact I want a career in France, whether in fashion or just business.
