The Ask

This assignment asked students to research a francophone country and writing a paper on a topic about that country. I chose to report on the situation of women in Mali since the coup d’etat in 2012.

The Process

Writing this composition required researching Mali and the socio-economical experience of women in the country. I watched videos, read articles, and listened to podcasts to understand the circumstances facing the women of Mali.

The Results

This project gave me a greater appreciation for the life I have. Reading about the women’s experiences brought tears to my eyes. I learned so much about the culture of Mali and the daily life of women. I received an A for this report.
